Prima Publishing, EDGAR Online, to Co-publish Groundbreaking Investors’ Guide to Decoding Corporate Financials
Roseville, CA — December 9, 2002 — Prima Publishing, a member of the Crown Publishing Group, a division of Random House, Inc., owned by Bertelsmann AG, announced today it will publish The EDGAR Online Guide to Decoding Financial Reports in the summer of 2003. Prima partnered with EDGAR Online (Nasdaq: EDGR) to bring investors the most reliable and up-to-date information at a time when corporate financial statements are being scrutinized more closely. This is the first trade book to bear the EDGAR Online name.
The trade hardcover will be written by Tom Taulli, an EDGAR Online analyst and author of six financial titles including The Complete M&A Handbook, Stock Options, and Investing in IPOs. Taulli teaches mergers and acquisitions at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and corporate securities disclosure at the University of California at Irvine. The EDGAR Online Guide to Decoding Financial Statements (ISBN: 0-7615-1669-7) will help investors accurately assess a company’s true worth and long-term value in order to make better investment decisions.
“With Tom’s proven track record as a reliable financial expert and the power of EDGAR Online’s brand name, this book will be a valuable resource for cautious investors as they re-enter the market,” said David Richardson, senior business book editor for Prima Publishing.
“When Tom and Prima first discussed the title with EDGAR Online, we immediately saw the potential to empower investors with the best methods for deciphering corporate disclosures,” said Jay Sears, Senior Vice President of Business and Strategy Development for EDGAR Online, Inc.
