(NASDAQ: EDGR) -- a leading provider of value-added business and financial information on global companies to financial, corporate and advisory professionals -- announced today the launch of I-Metrix™ Vision, the first product to integrate extensive financial data in eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) with visualization software.

Created as a result of EDGAR Online’s partnership with Theoris, Inc., a next-generation, Web-enabled business intelligence software vendor, I-Metrix Vision equips analysts, auditors and corporate executives with the information and tools they need to immediately identify opportunities, spot potential risks or anomalies and analyze competitors through an easy-to-use graphical interface.

I-Metrix Vision leverages Theoris Vision Software™ to allow customers to consolidate critical data from internal and external sources into a constantly updated graphical user interface, or “dashboard.” Clients can incorporate information from any data source in any location into their dashboards. Sources may include audited management reports, business intelligence systems, enterprise applications, intranets, extranets, the Internet and EDGAR Online’s I-Metrix XBRL data, which includes more than 1,000 normalized and as-reported data points from the financial statements of public, private and foreign companies who report financials to the SEC. Clients can easily build custom dashboards through a simple, wizard-driven interface.

I-Metrix Professional includes an add-in for Microsoft® Excel that eliminates the need for clients to manually key data into spreadsheets, saving time and avoiding errors that can occur with manual data entry. I-Metrix Professional is included in I-Metrix Vision. EDGAR Online also offers I-Metrix Architect, an application program interface (API) delivered through a SOAP-compliant web service that allows developers to empower any software application with XBRL data.
