EDGAR® Online is a leader in the business information industry specializing in the extraction, packaging and distribution of public company information contained in SEC filings.

Continued growth has created a need for us to expand our operations staff to further enhance and support our ecommerce web-based environments, data processing systems and our suite of XBRL-based I-Metrix solutions.

This position would be involved in the support, creation and design for most aspects of this infrastructure. This position will be performed in our Rockville, MD office.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Data Quality activities: daily, weekly, monthly edits of financial data
• Training, timely and effective feedback/communication to the processing analysts
• Data Quality reporting:
  • Assist Data Quality manager in developing data quality policies, procedures, metrics
  • Ongoing Reporting: customer issues; internal feedback
• Lead Data Quality initiatives:
  • Issue identification
  • Research
  • Requirements specification
  • Testing
  • Documentation
  • Training
  • Managing project staff
• Customer issues resolution, defect reporting
• Work with other teams:
  • Development
  • Product

Reports to:
• Data Quality manager

Prerequisites:

• Expert in the operation of the proprietary financial statement translation application
• Working knowledge of US-GAAP commercial and industrial companies
• Expectation to learn other taxonomies for additional industries

Background:

• Four year degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, computer science, math
• Master degree or a minimum of two years experience in the accounting/finance field
