Robert J. Farrell
President & Chief Executive Officer

Robert J. Farrell serves in the role of president and CEO. Before joining EDGAR Online, he was chairman and CEO of Metastorm, a global provider of business process management software and solutions, where he grew the company from a start-up to an established firm with revenues of $75 million, recently overseeing the sale of the company to Open Text (NASDAQ: OTEX). Prior to Metastorm, Mr. Farrell was president of the Americas region for Mercator Software, a NASDAQ-listed provider of enterprise application integration software. In this capacity, Mr. Farrell directed Mercator’s operational and sales activities in the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America. Mr. Farrell was also chief operating officer at LeadingSide, where he led day-to-day operations for the global provider of knowledge-driven information retrieval and also served as executive vice president of international operations at Computer Horizons (NASDAQ: CHRZ), a worldwide provider of IT services and solutions to Fortune 1000 and government organizations. Earlier in his career, he held positions at several large organizations including E. F. Hutton, American Express and Grumman Data Systems.

 

 

David J. Price
Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer

David J. Price serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Price was Executive Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Assistant Secretary of Cornerstone Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: CRTX), a pharmaceutical company that specializes in the respiratory market. From April 2006 to September 2008, Mr. Price served as a Managing Director for Jefferies & Company, Inc, an investment banking firm, in the Specialty Pharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical Services investment banking practice. From September 2000 to March 2006, Mr. Price served as a Managing Director for Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., an investment banking firm, in London and in New York. Prior to that, he worked in the auditing capacity at several prominent international accounting firms. Mr. Price holds a Bachelors of Science Honors Degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.


 

 

Gregory A. Carter
Chief Technology Officer

Gregory A. Carter serves as chief technology officer bringing more than 20 years of experience in software design, development and implementation. Prior to joining EDGAR Online, Mr. Carter operated as the chief technical officer and executive vice president of product development at Metastorm, Inc. where he lead a team of 125 developers and assisted the company in growing to over $80 million in revenue in 2009. He also served as director of professional services, North America for several years at Metastorm. Mr. Carter has also held positions of co-founder, vice president and director of technology at Software Systems Group, Inc.; as support developer at PC DOCS, Inc. and technical support developer at RE/Soft Systems, Inc.


 

 

David A. Frankel

David A. Frankel serves as chief marketing officer bringing more than 18 years of leadership in sales, marketing and business development at prominent financial information services firms. Before joining EDGAR Online, he served as a key member of the executive team at FirstRain, a Silicon Valley-based business intelligence technology firm where he oversaw the firm’s business development efforts, contributing to the 150 percent increase in company bookings and significant client count expansion. Prior to his five years with FirstRain, Mr. Frankel served as vice president of sales at Bank of New York Jaywalk, during which time he developed the market strategy for an independent research consulting solution currently used by several online broker-dealers. From 1993 to 2004, Mr. Frankel was with FactSet Research Systems (NYSE:FDS) where during his tenure he managed the firm's largest geographic sales territory to record growth, led the team that built the foundation for FactSet's current global marketing strategy, and negotiated strategic agreements with key content partners. Mr. Frankel also serves on the board of Alpha Theory LLC, a portfolio risk analytics firm. He is a graduate of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.


 

 

Ed McDonnell
Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Sales and Delivery

Edward J. McDonnell serves as executive vice president of worldwide field sales and delivery, bringing more than 17 years of experience in global sales and business development in the financial markets. Prior to EDGAR Online, Mr. McDonnell served as vice president of global accounts at Standard & Poor’s, leading the Americas Key Account and the Western Region teams. Additionally, he developed a framework and methodology for the company’s most strategic customers, a model which is still in current use at McGraw-Hill Financial (NYSE:MHP). Before Standard & Poor’s, Mr. McDonnell acted as chief revenue officer at Pivot driving rapid adoption of the company’s unified communication technology within the capital and OTC markets. While at Pivot, he served on the Pivot Executive Committee and as senior member of the Office of President. During his 10 year tenure at Thomson Financial (TSX / NYSE: TRI) as regional managing director, he served as a senior member of the sales leadership team that focused on he establishing effective sales practices that included organizational structure, employee development, recruitment and territory coverage. Additionally, Mr. McDonnell was a founding member of the Thomson’s Global Sales Account Training Program that recruited sales professionals from college campuses and developed the Soft Dollar practice from a collection mindset to a revenue center. Mr. McDonnell is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and communications.


 

 

Steven E. Friedman
General Counsel

Steven E. Friedman serves as our General Counsel. Before coming to EDGAR Online, he was the General Counsel of Institutional Shareholder Services Inc., a subsidiary of MSCI (NYSE:MSCI) and a leading provider of corporate governance solutions to the financial community. Mr. Friedman served on the executive team that helped manage Institutional Shareholder Services through rapid growth and its eventual sale to RiskMetrics Group in 2007, through RiskMetrics’ initial public offering in 2008, and then through a public-to-public merger with MSCI in 2010. Prior to that, he worked in the corporate and securities departments of leading law firms in the Washington, D.C. area. Mr. Friedman received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.


 

 

Darren Peterson
Vice President, Product Management

Darren Peterson brings more than fifteen years of experience in enterprise software product strategy and product management to EDGAR Online. Darren came to the company with the acquisition of UBmatrix where he held the same role. Prior to UBmatrix Darren was the Vice President of Marketing for Insurance CRM leader E-Z Data. Other highlights of his career include sales and marketing leadership roles at companies including Onyx Software where he lead product management for sales force and marketing automation solutions, and Ascent Partners Group, a boutique software M&A firm where he managed merger & acquisitions and lead consulting projects for clients. Darren’s career began at KPMG where he consulted as part of the government technology services practice.


 

 

Jeannie Tshontikidis
Vice President, Data Operations

Jeannie Tshontikidis serves as vice president of Data Operations, bringing 25+ years of experience in the Financial Services and Technology Industries. Prior to joining EDGAR Online, Ms. Tshontikidis served as Head of Development and Global Data Operations at Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (ISS), a subsidiary of MSCI (NYSE:MSCI), a leading provider of corporate governance solutions to the financial community. Ms. Tshontikidis was instrumental in driving the technology and build of products and solutions offered at ISS. In addition, she was tasked with consolidating all data collections activities into one Global Data Operation. Prior to ISS, she worked at two GE divisions for 15 years. Global Exchange Services (GXS), formerly GE Information Services, a technology company providing b2b technical solutions and GE Aerospace in Utica NY. While at GXS, Ms. Tshontikidis held the position of VP, Information Technology where she was responsible for all internal IT Development projects with a focus on improving productivity in the business. In addition, Ms. Tshontikidis was VP, Client Services for Primark, Inc (formerly Disclosure, Inc), their primary business was based on SEC filings and services to the financial community. Ms. Tshontikidis is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
